- Sift the flour and baking powder.
- In a mixing bowl, mix the butter, sugar and salt with an electric mixer (or a whisk, with elbow grease!). Then add the egg and mix.
- Add the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder. Do not mix too much or the cake will become too compact.
- Finish with the liquid cream. Pour this preparation into the previously buttered and lined cake mold .
- Bake at 145°C for 1 hour 30 minutes, keeping an eye on it; the knife blade should come out dry.
- Let the cake cool then place it in the freezer while you prepare the icing.
