Prepare the Dough:
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
Add yogurt and melted butter (or olive oil) to the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
Add Toppings:
Knead the shredded cheese and diced vegetables into the dough, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
If using fresh herbs, add them to the dough and mix until well combined.
Roll Out the Dough:
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a thin, rectangular shape, about 1/4 inch thick. Transfer the dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
Add Egg Wash and Seeds:
Brush the top of the dough with the beaten egg to give it a golden color when baked.
Sprinkle sesame seeds or nigella seeds on top for added flavor and texture.
Bake:
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the flatbread is golden and crispy.
Cut and Serve:
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Cut the flatbread into squares or rectangles, as shown in the image.
