Cheese-Stuffed Bread Rolls

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a bowl, activate the yeast by mixing it with warm milk and sugar.
    • In a separate bowl, combine flour and salt.
    • Add melted butter, the egg, and the yeast mixture to the flour.
    • Knead until smooth and elastic, then let it rise for 1 hour.
  2. Prepare the Cheese Filling:
    • In a bowl, mix together ricotta, feta, parmesan, egg, and parsley (if using).
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Assemble the Rolls:
    • Divide the dough into 20-24 pieces.
    • Flatten each piece and place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center.
    • Seal the edges to form balls and place them seam-side down in a greased pan.
  4. Second Rise:
    • Allow the rolls to rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  5. Bake the Rolls:
    • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Brush the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with grated parmesan.
    • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Serve:
    • Let the rolls cool slightly before enjoying them warm!
